Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Questions about our treatment approach
What makes your clinics different?
At Neurologic Physiotherapy, we offer in-clinic treatment sessions in private treatment rooms, in order to promote relaxation and privacy in the healing process.
We only employ therapists with a high level of course work and experience, to ensure that all of our patients receive quality treatment. These highly skilled clinicians, treat patients one-to-one, with hands-on techniques. We do not use physiotherapy assistants, allowing the client, the maximum amount of time with their designated clinician. We use machines minimally, and only when indicated.
How long and how often will I have to attend for treatment?
Every person and body is different so thus we do not recommend the same frequency and duration of treatment for all of our clients. At the end of the assessment, the physiotherapist will give you their recommendation about the length of treatment session and the frequency you should attend based on their findings. However, the client is an active participant in their treatment process. The physiotherapist and the client will work together to come up with a treatment plan (frequency and duration of treatment) based on what the client feels they need. We also tell our clients that they should feel some relief in their symptoms within 3 treatment sessions. If you do not feel any relief, then our treatment approach may not be the right fit for you and we will refer you on to other healthcare professionals that may be able to help.
Do you treat clients only at your clinics?
No! We have several therapists that can provide physiotherapy in home or in long-term care centers if that is more convenient for you!
I do not suffer from any neurological conditions or diseases. Can I still book an appointment at your clinics?
Yes! We have many orthopaedic/manual physiotherapists that can treat a variety of injuries and conditions that are not neurological-based.
What should I expect on my first visit?
Your first visit to our clinic will be a one hour whole-body assessment with the possibility of some treatment during this assessment (if time permits) . Please come 15 minutes prior to your appointment time, with a pair of shorts (as they may assist the therapist's assessment). Please also fill out and bring the appropriate Client Intake Form (found here) to your first appointment if possible.
Do you offer acupuncture or dry needling?
Yes. We have physiotherapists who perform both acupuncture and dry needling.
Do you offer massage therapy?
We do have a registered massage therapist at our 2255 St Laurent location. At this time we do not offer massage therapy at our 31 Northside Clinic. Please email neurologic.stlaurent@lifemark.ca to book your massage appointment.
Questions about billing and scheduling
Do you have a waitlist?

Is my visit covered by OHIP or ODSP?
Unfortunately, because we are a specialty clinic, we are not covered by OHIP or ODSB.
